CareNow

The Cogent Group, through its sister company, Crestview Real Estate, continues to be a preferred developer for CareNow in the Texas market since 2005. During this time, we have developed more than 25 free-standing units, primarily in the Dallas- Ft, Worth and Houston markets.

Albertsons (Haggen Food & Pharmacy)

In conjunction with a required FTC divestiture, The Cogent Group acquired 19 Albertson’s properties in a sale-leaseback transaction (dba Haggen Food & Pharmacy), totaling 840,791 sf located throughout Oregon, Nevada, Washington, California, and Arizona on a federally mandated rolling-closure schedule.

Jiffy Lube

The Cogent Group purchased 8 Jiffy Lubes located throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, leased to a franchisee. The properties were subject to shorter-term leases which were restructured with Jiffy Lube corporate.

KFC

The Cogent Group acquired a portfolio of 17 properties located throughout North Carolina in a sale-leaseback transaction with a large franchisee in conjunction with an M&A event that required Cogent to close the sale-leaseback within thirty days from its engagement.

Progressive Lighting, Inc.

is a family-owned business with a 50-year track record of delivering superior merchandise to their loyal customers, which has earned them a national reputation of excellence as the largest chain of residential lighting showrooms in the Southeast. In February 2019, The Cogent Group purchased six stores, totaling 140,000 sf in Texas, Georgia, and North Carolina.

Virginia Oil Co, Inc.

The Cogent Group acquired 12 convenience stores with gas stations plus one truck stop in the Charlottesville, Virginia market in conjunction with Village Pantry Group’s acquisition of Virginia Oil (subsequently acquired by GPM). The Cogent Group’s sale-leaseback proceeds constituted the majority of the acquisition capital for the overall M&A transaction.
